  • Seneca Rocks Youtube Clip Howdy,

I've posted a video on YouTube! Last spring the Quest and Rec Center staff travel to West Virginia for wild adventrues. We had a blast rock climbing, traversing the well-known Nelson Rock Preserve Via Ferreta, camping, caving, and learned how to pogo stick one handed. This semester we are returning for more West Virgina adventure! Don't miss out! Check out the calender for more trip information.

  • Quest Alumni Reunion '08/'09 I think we need a west coast reunion, now that Lish is out here (Walla Walla, WA). Let's meet up and climb or paddle or ski trip in the winter or spring climbing/skiing tour, or just enjoying the fine micorbrews of the west. if you guys are down, just let me know and i will put it together for next winter 08/09 or spring 09.

    My thoughts on places:
Mt. Shasta - we can climb mt. shasta, climb across the way at Castle Crags, and paddle the upper sacramentor river which is scenic class III/IV river.

Salt Lake City - ski in the Wasatch, drive to the desert and climb in Moab, Indian Creek, wherever. Paddle as well. mountain biking of course.

Washington - Leavenworth, climb sick granite, long alpine routes in north cascades, paddle fun class III - V water, and bask in the glory of a bavarian village.

Sierras - if i am here, everyone can crash at my place....Spring will unveil great corn skiing (easy tours), climbing in the North/South Lake Tahoe areas, and access to great mountain biking in Reno, Auburn, Downyville areas, great paddling on the Yuba and American drainages. all easy access. we can even head down to the Yosemite, High Sierras area...climbing in Owen River Gorge.

Argentina - Summer Fall 2008 - climb and ski in Northern Patagonia regions.
New Zealand - Fall 2008 - same deal - ski tours and climbing or whatever throughout the South Island.

Grand Canyon of CO trip - Fall 2008, 3 weeks, ~220 miles of splendor.

    peace.

  • Yeah! We have hit our 30th member of the wiki. That is exciting. Jamie is the lucky winner. She gets a bagel at the next staff meeting.

  • Bouldering I found this really cool acronym for bouldering.
    "SLED"
    S=spotting L=landing E=exposure D=descent.

Does anyone have any other climbing acronyms?

  • Add your picture to your profile It would be great to see a picture for everyone. Especially one where people can see your face. Because of the different generations of you all that will soon be, not everyone knows who everyone is. A face shot and a profile or other information would be great.

  • Contributions The goal of these pages is user driven information. Lindsay Huff is working hard as the driving force of this project (as her senior project) to get our current literature (out of date or not) into this format.

From there the goal is for people to edit and contribute their knowledge. If you are not sure if something fits, just ask, otherwise it should be usable by all of us.

If you see a need for other information or learn about a new game or initiative, this is a place to add it and share for all.
